Challenge 10 - It's mathematical(improve math skills)
I dropped out of school when I was 16 but to be honest I was pretty absent most of the time in the 3 years before that. Since then I've always wanted to be much better at math then I am. I've worked through parts of khan academy before and I have a full shelf of math books but I've never stuck with it. It's noticeable at the moment as one of my university courses is business stats and I'm finding it more difficult than I should to follow along. So my challenge for the next year is to study math for 30 minutes every day. I will do this by alternating between one day spent studying new skills and the other day spent doing practice problems.
So
M - Study
T - Practice
W - Study
Etc.
I'm currently very comfortable with high school algebra, a bit of trig, some stats and probability, and a bit of geometry. By the end of this year I want to be at a passing level in Algebra II, Trigonometry, Geometry, Calculus, and Statistics.
Given my current requirements around university I'm planning to tackle this slightly out of order. I'll be using the for dummies problem books as my judge of competence so for each topic I should be able to answer every question in the related problem book(Luckily I already own them all or I'd be struggling with the no spend rule!).
Planned Timeline
Statistics -> September 15 complete
Algebra II -> November 1 complete
Geometry -> December 1 complete
Trigonometry -> February 1 complete
Calculus -> May 1 complete
Stretch goals
Statistics II
Calculus II
Linear Algebra.
