Cleaning up subscriptions

Today I went through all my personal and business subscriptions to see where I could save some money. While there are a lot I ended up keeping I did manage to cut out around $200/month. This comes after cancelling a bunch of subscriptions last month too so my total savings over the past two months are closer to $300 per month.

Cut/Cancelled

  • Youtube
  • Evernote
  • Twilio
  • DNSimple basic
  • Fantastical (Replaced with Apple calendar)
  • Spark (Replaced with Canary email)

Changed/Downgraded

  • Apple Music(To student plan) -> $14.99 to $7.99 per month
  • Gym membership(To single venue plan) -> $25 per week to $20 per week
  • Web server moved from dedicated to shared -> $120 month to $60 month

Keeping

  • Phone plan(Already at lowest plan I could find)
  • Internet
  • iCloud(too much data to downgrade)
  • Fastmail needed for work
  • Openai used reguarly for work and on minimum plan
