# Challenge 5 - Working through the backlog(Read more)

I have a lot of books. I also have a lot of books I've never read and a lot of books I want to read. This goal is simple complete 50 "standard" books in a year half fiction half non-fiction. The standard part is important in the past when I've done reading challenges I've found myself avoiding overly long books to get my number of books up. I don't want to fall into that this year so instead I've decided on a metric for a standard book to use.

Fiction: 350 pages

Non-Fiction: 300 pages

Since it's rare to find books of these exact lengths I'll be going by pages read instead of actual books so my total for the year will be

Fiction: 8750 pages read

Non-Fiction: 7500 pages read
